Petition seeked vs ‘isnaberong’ taxi drivers

A petition has been lodged before the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) to address concerns regarding picky taxi drivers who tend to snub supposed passengers. The complaint highlights various issues affecting commuters, including inconsistent service and safety concerns.

Atty. Ariel Inton, a volunteer lawyer with Lawyers for the Consumers Safety and Protection (LCSP), stated on Tuesday that many taxi passengers are likely to file complaints with the LTFRB due to taxi drivers refusing to provide service for various reasons, especially during the Christmas season.

Some concerned citizens have expressed frustration on social media over the reliability of the taxis, with many calling for stricter regulations and oversight.
