PDEA seizes P7.4-M ‘shabu’ in Cebu City

MANILA – The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) operatives arrested a suspect and confiscated suspected shabu with an estimated street value of PHP7.4 million in Cebu City on Monday night.

In a statement Tuesday, the agency said the suspect Jason Bangueran, 46, was arrested during a buy-bust along Second Street, Happy Valley in Barangay Guadalupe at about 8:05 p.m.

Seized from the suspect were eight packs of suspected shabu weighing about 1.1 kg. and buy-bust money.

The pieces of evidence were submitted to PDEA for proper disposition.

The suspect is currently detained at the local PDEA headquarters and faces charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (PNA)
