PCGH ICU inaugurated

The Pasay City General Hospital (PCGH) has officially opened a 15-bed Central Intensive Care Unit (ICU) equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to provide critical care for severely ill patients. The inauguration took place on November 4, 2024, and was led by City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano.

The Mayor commended PCGH for its recent achievements, notably the accreditation of its three major clinical departments. She specifically noted the significant improvement in the Internal Medicine Department’s mortality rate, which has dropped from 28.1% in 2021 to 16% in 2022, and now stands at an impressive 2.2%. This remarkable progress underscores the high-quality care being provided to Pasayeño patients.

The establishment of the ICU is part of Mayor Emi’s H.E.L.P. Priority Agenda, with a strong emphasis on health initiatives that she diligently oversees, drawing from her experiences and insights gained throughout and following the pandemic.
