PCG suspends sea travels in northern Dinagat towns

BUTUAN CITY – The Coast Guard Station (CGS) in Dinagat Islands temporarily suspended the travel of sea vessels and watercraft, particularly in the northern municipalities of the province amid the threats posed by Typhoon Pepito (international name Man-yi).

The temporary suspension order, issued on Saturday morning, specifically covers the towns of Loreto and Tubajon.

“Vessels who intend to take shelter shall be permitted as long as it is manifested through a written request with no passengers or cargoes onboard,” the CGS bulletin said.

The CGS Dinagat is also tapping various partner agencies to disseminate its temporary suspension of travel
