PCG on ‘High Alert’ for Undas

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) is on heightened alert for the upcoming Undas, aiming to ensure the safety of travelers across the country. Starting October 31 and continuing through November 3, 2024, all PCG units will be actively monitoring to provide a secure environment for the public.

Commandant Admiral Ronnie Gavan has called for increased vigilance, stressing the importance of reliable services during this busy period. The PCG is dedicated to enhancing the safety and comfort of those traveling during Undas.

In support of these efforts, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) will set up Malasakit Help Desks at various docks and transportation hubs to assist passengers. Medical teams will also be on standby to respond to emergencies, and K9 units will conduct regular inspections to ensure safety.

To further support holiday-goers, PCG rescuers and lifeguards will be positioned at popular beaches and resorts, ready to help anyone in need. With these measures in place, the PCG aims to create a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone celebrating Undas.
