MANILA – The weather bureau said Wednesday rains are expected in some areas due to three weather systems.
Scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms caused by the shear line will prevail across the Bicol Region and Eastern Visayas.
The easterlies will cause scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, and Surigao del Sur.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said those areas are likely to get moderate to heavy rains that could result in flash floods or landslides.
Meanwhile, the northeast monsoon or “amihan” will bring light rains over Cagayan Valley, Aurora, and Quezon, and isolated light rains over the rest of Luzon.
The rest of the country will have isolated rain showers or thunderstorms caused by the easterlies.
Moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas will prevail across northern and central Luzon. (PNA)
