MANILA – Several areas will continue to get drenched with rain on Tuesday due to three prevailing weather systems.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said scattered rains and thunderstorms caused by the easterlies are forecast in Eastern Visayas.
Rains due to the northeast monsoon or “amihan” will continue to prevail across Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Bicol Region, Mimaropa, and Quezon.
“Amihan” and the shear line will bring moderate to heavy rains over Quezon, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Albay, and Sorsogon.
PAGASA said moderate to heavy rains in all these areas could result in flash floods or landslides.
Meanwhile, “amihan” will bring isolated light rains over the rest of Luzon, while the rest of the country will have isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies.
Northern Luzon and the eastern sections of Central and Southern Luzon, and Visayas will experience strong to gale winds and rough to very rough seas.
Moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal waters are forecast in the rest of Luzon and Visayas.
Mindanao will have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas, PAGASA said. (PNA)
