Parañaque provides livelihood packages to PWUDs

The local government of Parañaque, under the leadership of Mayor Eric L. Olivarez, awarded livelihood packages to 16 beneficiaries, all of whom are former persons who used drugs (PWUDs).

Each recipient was provided with a siomai and siopao food cart, which they can use to start a new business and rebuild their lives.

This initiative is part of Parañaque’s active participation in the observance of Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Week 2024, celebrated from November 17 to 23. The program was implemented through the Parañaque Anti-Drug Abuse Office, headed by Dr. Himmler Cos.

The event was attended by District 2 Councilor Tin Esplana, Public Employment Service Office OIC Ms. Amie Martin, Liga ng mga Barangay and Barangay San Isidro Captain Noel Japlos, as well as other barangay leaders from the city’s first and second districts.
