Pagadian City International College (PCIC) has been recognized as one of the top-performing schools for midwifery in Mindanao, ranking third in the November 2024 Licensure Examination for Midwives.
PCIC achieved a passing rate of 93.55%, with 29 out of 31 examinees successfully passing the exam. This accomplishment places the institution among the leading higher education institutions (HEIs) in Mindanao, as it earned its place on a list that includes other top-performing schools such as St. Alexius College, Davao Medical School Foundation, and Southern Maramag Colleges, which all had perfect passing rates.
Mayor Sammy Co of Pagadian City congratulated the college for this significant achievement, commending its commitment to academic excellence and the quality of education it provides to future healthcare professionals. In his statement, he emphasized that PCIC’s success not only brings honor to the institution but also to the city of Pagadian, reflecting its growing reputation as a center for educational and professional development.
PCIC’s performance is part of a broader recognition that also includes institutions such as Iligan Medical Center College, which ranked fifth with a passing rate of 96.49%, and Pagadian’s own standing as a beacon for educational success in the region.
The November 2024 midwifery licensure exam results were compiled from schools with ten or more examinees, showcasing the commitment of educational institutions across Mindanao to producing qualified healthcare professionals. PCIC’s performance marks another milestone in the city’s ongoing efforts to improve educational standards and opportunities for its residents.
PCIC, founded with the aim of providing high-quality education, continues to play a key role in the development of the region’s healthcare sector, training competent and compassionate midwives who contribute to the well-being of communities throughout Mindanao.
