By Xander Ledesma

Police seized an estimated ₱ 952, 000 worth of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) in a buy-bust operation in Cebu City on November 7. Led by Police Captain Dave Marvi S. Villaluz, the Cebu City Police Office’s (CCPO) City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) conducted the early-morning raid in Barangay Duljo-Fatima, leading to the arrest of a suspected local drug dealer.

The suspect, identified as “Yadz”, was apprehended after allegedly selling drugs to an undercover officer in exchange for marked money.

The operation reflects the CCPO’s ongoing efforts to address the drug problem in local communities. The raid followed months of intelligence gathering and surveillance of the suspect, identified as a key figure in the local drug trade. CCPO reports indicate that the suspect had been under observation for several weeks, and his capture marks a significant success in the city’s anti-drug campaign.
