P340,000 worth of shabu seized in Dagupan City buy-bust

DAGUPAN CITY–A joint operation by agents from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) – Pangasinan, in coordination with the Dagupan City Police Station, resulted in the arrest of a high-value target and the seizure of 50 grams of suspected shabu in Barangay Bonuan Binloc, Dagupan City, early morning on January 2, 2025.

Authorities confiscated one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing a white crystalline substance, believed to be shabu, with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board value of P340,000.

The arrested individual, identified as Jasyon Rosario, a resident of Bonuan Binloc, Dagupan City, was caught in the act during the buy-bust operation.

Along with the drugs, operatives recovered 119 pieces of one-thousand-peso boodle money used in the transaction, a mobile phone, and P600 in various denominations.

Rosario now faces charges for violating Sections 5 and 11 of Article II of Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

The operation was completed without any reported injuries.
