The Provincial Government of Misamis Occidental launched the “Pamaskong Handog 2024” program, providing Christmas gifts to 2,290 service providers in Ozamiz City.
The event, held at the Ozamiz City Sports Complex, included the distribution of food packs, cash gifts, and additional allowances to public school teachers, healthcare workers, barangay officials, and municipal employees.
The program was led by Governor Henry S. Oaminal, with the support of Congressman Ando Oaminal and Ozamiz City Mayor Atty. Indy Oaminal. Local government officials and departments collaborated to organize the event and ensure the beneficiaries received their holiday packages.
Each service provider received a 3-in-1 bag containing rice, canned goods, noodles, and cash gifts. The initiative is part of the provincial government’s efforts to recognize and support essential workers who contribute to the city’s operations and community welfare.
“Pamaskong Handog,” an annual tradition in Misamis Occidental, aims to honor the contributions of service providers and spread holiday cheer. The program reflects the local government’s commitment to acknowledging the dedication of public servants during the Christmas season.
