The Provincial Government of Palawan continues to assist over 8, 000 solo parents in the region, offering a range of services through the Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO).

Support initiatives include workshops on the Expanded Solo Parents Welfare Act (RA 11861), as well as psychological support and parenting sessions.

Abigail Ablaña, PSWDO Officer, emphasized that the program aims to provide both immediate aid and long-term empowerment, fostering skills development and strengthening local support networks for solo parents.
