The Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) has been significantly impacted by a series of typhoons since November 11, 2024. As of November 18, 2024, approximately 14,495 families have been affected by the weather disturbances.

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD)-CAR reported that 86 families are currently staying in evacuation centers, while 328 families have sought shelter with relatives and friends. In Baguio City alone, 54 families were displaced due to Typhoon Pepito.

Local government units in affected areas have been urging residents in high-risk areas to evacuate preemptively to ensure their safety. The DSWD-CAR is providing food, non-food items, and financial assistance to affected families.

The Baguio City government has emphasized the importance of preparedness and has reminded residents to stay vigilant and follow safety protocols.
