BBM as VP of Leni?
Preparations are being made to make BBM run as Vice President to Leni Robredo in the 2028 presidential election.
My sources tell me that the local governments, represented by governors and mayors, were all called to Malacanang last February 21 (Monday) to lay the groundwork for the vice presidential aspiration of Bongbong.
The administration has committed to release funding to our local government executives in the distribution of rice subsidy to the “needy” for six months, soon to be felt by our poorest of the poor.
This would mean that the needy will get P10 kilos of rice at P20 per kilo per month for six months.
On the education front, as I understand it, the construction and repair of classrooms will now be given to the local government units, instead of the DPWH, as its was done before.
If this is the case, well and good!.
Finally, we will be able to see improvement, but will such improvement contribute to BBM’s regaining the trust and confidence of our people in his presidency?
With what is happening at the ICC in The Hague, vis-a-vis the confirmation of charges against former President Digong Duterte, many of our people are waiting for the trial to proceed and get terminated.
The problem of the administration of BBM is, if Digong Duterte dies while the trial is in progress, the band-aid solution of the administration to promote its political agenda will fail.
Recall that Cory Aquino became President because Ninoy was murdered at the tarmac of the Manila International Airport. Noynoy became president because Cory died, thus the outpouring of sympathy for Noynoy brought him to the presidency.
I am sure that if Digong dies during his trial, Sara will be catapulted to the presidency.

I have not been writing local issues for the past weeks. But with Sara Duterte’s declaration to run for President, I’m sure that the camp of Celia Lim is now readying to challenge Mayor Belen and company for the mayoralty, vice mayoralty and councilors seats in the forthcoming 2028 election.
This will be a great fight as it coincides with the presidential election of 2028. It’s a winner-take all affair.
I will not be surprised if Brian Lim will run for Congress and Celia will again run for the mayoralty race against Belen.
In case Sara wins the presidency, I am sure that the camp of Celia will choose to get some juicy positions to get back at Mayor Belen.
As Erap used to say, “weather, weather lang”.

I have been observing Mr. Jaime Aquino on his Podcast. With the influence of social media, the latter has been using the same as his platform to expose alleged graft and corruption in government.
Lately, he had the courage to file a disbarment case against the Comelec commissioners led by Chairman George Garcia for “gross ignorance of the law”.
The disqualification case he filed against Mapandan Mayor Karl Vega was dismissed by the Comelec because Jaime did not pay the required filing fee of P10,000, and the research fee of P100.
Will he succeed in his latest adventure?
I doubt!
