Sara’s 2028 presidential declaration
In light of the impeachment of Vice President Sara Duterte, she has placed everyone on notice by declaring, in no uncertain terms, that she is going to run for President in 2028.
With President BBM’s health reportedly gradually deteriorating, the timing of the declaration is perfect.
The Vice President is simply sending a message to members of the House of Representatives that impeaching her this time may not sit well with the vast majority of our people.
Starting any committee hearing to determine whether the impeachment complaint filed against Sara is sufficient in form as well as in substance, she is given all the free publicity up to the time when the Senate, as an impeachment court, starts hearing the case.
Yet kind of mileage (free publicity), makes Sara the candidate to beat.
You see, all accusations against the Vice President are merely respetations of previous indictments against her during the failed attempt to impeach her in 2024.
Our unsolicited advice to the members of the lower house is for them to throw away or dismiss the impeachment case against Sara.
Otherwise, as you continue to persecute her, she will in fact, gain more votes and may be able to bag the presidency with overwhelming votes from the vast majority of our people.
On the other hand, this impeachment charade or circus might go on and really make those congressmen and senators oust the Vic e Presidnt while other more sinister moves are underway to install a military junta in our government.
With Sara out of the picture, Congress can always conspire to change our Constitution and turn our presidential system into a parliamentary system, thus making it easier for those engaged in power grab to make everything academic and legal.
The worst thing that can happen is the military, PNP and all other law enforcement agencies could be harnessed to constitute the group that would be allegedly led by Secretary of National Defense Gibo Teodoro.
Will our people allow this?

On February 25, 2026, we will commemorate the 40th anniversary of the People Power Revolution.
Groups, consisting of the Dilawans, Pinklawans, Marcos Loyalists, leftists and may be, even the Communists, are being organized, to declare support for any candidate for President, other than Sara.
Their battle cry is “Anyone but Sara” (ABS).
If the do not succeed, they are even willing to go as far as declaring “Anything but Sara (another ABS).
We can only pray to God that if we gather for the EDSA People Power, the vast majority of our people will stand up against any form of tyranny or repression. #
