Northern Samar honors outstanding early-childhood education implementers and workers

The Provincial Government of Northern Samar, through its Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office, recognized the exemplary efforts of Early Childhood Education (ECE) Local Implementers and Child Development Workers (CDWs) during the 32nd Provincial Children’s Month Culmination on December 17, 2024, at the Provincial Gymnasium, Provincial Capitol. The awards were presented by Governor Edwin Ongchuan and Vice Governor Clarence Dato.

The recognition ceremony highlighted the invaluable contributions of 20 CDWs and 5 ECE Local Implementers in providing quality early childhood education and shaping the foundation for children’s growth and learning in the province.

Among the awardees, Mary Ann G. Constantino from LGU Mapanas was named 1st place for Outstanding ECE Local Implementer, receiving a certificate of recognition and a Php 50,000 cash incentive. Emma A. Lobos from LGU Mondragon and Jocelyn G. Cerbito from LGU Laoang were also honored with plaques of recognition and Php 50,000 each. Genoviva Almasco from LGU San Isidro and Jocelyn G. Cerbito (LGU Laoang) were likewise acknowledged for their exceptional contributions.

In the category of Outstanding Child Development Workers, fifteen CDWs from LGU Laoang and five from LGU San Antonio were commended for achieving Level 3 or Outstanding Results during external evaluations.

Governor Ongchuan emphasized the importance of “fostering a culture of appreciation and motivation, ensuring that every child in Northern Samar has access to foundational education that will help them succeed.”
