Key officials and stakeholders gathered in Clarin for the 140th Northern Mindanao Regional Development Council (RDC-X) Full Council and Year-End Meeting to review progress on regional initiatives and discuss future development plans. The meeting was chaired by Lanao del Norte Governor Imelda “Angging” Dimaporo.

Governor Henry Oaminal of Misamis Occidental welcomed participants, emphasizing the council’s role in driving economic growth and social development. Discussions included updates on the Panguil Bay Bridge, a major RDC-approved project expected to boost trade and connectivity between Misamis Occidental and Lanao del Norte.

The council also reviewed health sector proposals, including the “Expansion and Sustainability of Health Services for Universal Health Care,” aligned with the national government’s healthcare agenda. The proposal aims to improve service delivery in underserved areas and expand access to quality care.

Infrastructure development remained a central topic. Ongoing projects, such as road expansions and water supply enhancements, were highlighted as critical to supporting the region’s economic activities.

Another key agenda item was the Ease of Doing Business Act, focusing on streamlining government processes to attract investment and improve service delivery. Council members deliberated on measures to reduce bureaucratic inefficiencies.
