Nearly 5, 000 QC cops deployed for ‘Undas’

In preparation for All Saints’ and All Souls’ Day, the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) will deploy nearly 5, 000 police officers across Quezon City to ensure public safety as people flock cemeteries to honor their deceased loved ones. QCPD Acting District Director PCol. Melecio Buslig Jr. announced the deployment during the QC Journalists’ Forum held on October 29, specifying that of the 4, 786 officers stationed at cemeteries, columbariums, and bus terminals, more than 1, 000 will focus on monitoring neighborhoods where homes may be left unattended.

Residents are urged to follow safety protocols and report any suspicious activity. Authorities recommend that people plan their cemetery visits in advance to avoid congestion and prioritize their safety during the holiday.
