NCMF officials observe Shari’ah training seminar in Iligan City

The 19th Series of the Shari’ah Training Seminar was held in Iligan City on December 8, 2024, to enhance legal education and advance the understanding of Shari’ah law in the region.

The seminar was led by Husni B. Sarip, Provincial Director of the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF) in Lanao del Norte, and attended by several high-ranking officials, including Atty. Jehan A. Lepail, Deputy Executive Director and Acting Director of the Bureau of Muslim Cultural Affairs (BMCA), PD Kharima Dianalan of the NCMF Lanao del Sur provincial office, and Central Office Accountant Hasmin Manonggiring.

The event was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Abdul Nasser P. Masorong Jr., CESO III, Regional Director of NCMF Region X. The seminar aims to train legal practitioners in Shari’ah law and address the legal needs of Muslim communities.

The seminar series forms part of the NCMF’s efforts to strengthen the implementation of Shari’ah law and provide training for competent legal professionals in Islamic jurisprudence.

Officials observed the seminar to ensure its alignment with national standards and objectives for Shari’ah law education. The training sessions aim to enhance the legal literacy of Muslim Filipinos and foster a deeper understanding of Shari’ah law within Philippine society.
