Muntinlupa City was recognized at the 24th Gawad Kalasag National Awarding Ceremony held on December 10, 2024, at the Manila Prince Hotel in Ermita, Manila.
The city government received the Gawad Kalasag Seal of Excellence for the third consecutive year and was cited as one of the “Beyond Compliant” local government units (LGUs). The award was based on the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council’s (NDRRMC) evaluation of the Muntinlupa Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council and Office (LDRRMCO).
The NDRRMC assessed disaster response capabilities, operational functionality, and other criteria in determining the award recipients.
