The City Government of Muntinlupa marked Fisherfolk Day, or “Araw ng Mangingisda,” on December 10 at the Muntinlupa Sports Center in Barangay Tunasan.
Around 400 members of the Samahan ng Maliliit na Mangingisda participated in activities organized by the Lake Management Office (LMO). Participants also received Christmas gifts distributed by the city government, led by Mayor Ruffy Biazon.
City Administrator Allan Cachuela, in his message, expressed the city’s appreciation for the fisherfolk’s contributions to preserving order and peace in Laguna Lake.
