Muntinlupa marked Araw ng Kalikasan (Day of Nature) on November 22 with a full day of activities.
The morning kicked off with a lake seeding event at Bayanan Baywalk, where fish were released into the lake to enhance biodiversity. Simultaneously, the Eco-Shoppers Hunting activity took place at major markets, where shoppers received rice and eco-bags. Public utility vehicles (PUVs) also benefited from free emission testing at the Alabang viaduct, while the Festival Mall hosted a Recyclables Fair.
During the highlight of the event, Mayor Ruffy Biazon delivered the State of the Environment Address, underscoring the successful implementation of environmental programs through strong collaboration with various stakeholders.
To conclude the celebration, key partners such as the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA), Department of Energy (DOE), Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Bureau of Fisheries and Agricultural Reform (BFAR), Triumvirate Development Corporation, SmartPower, and Manila Electric Company (Meralco) signed the Wall of Commitment, pledging their continued dedication to environmental protection.
