Muntinlupa barangays recognized as ‘drug-free’

Nine barangays in Muntinlupa were declared drug-free during a flag-raising ceremony on November 25 at the Muntinlupa City Hall, based on evaluations by the Regional Oversight Committee of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency’s ‘Barangay Drug Clearing Program.’

PDEA – National Capital Region Director Emerson Rosales announced the recognition and awarded PHP 100, 000 in cash incentives to each barangay for meeting the requirements of the program.

The event also featured highlights from the city’s Drug Abuse Prevention and Control (DAPC) Week, which included competitions participated in by students and organized by the Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Office (DAPCO).
