MLhuillier Christmas tree takes shape at Fuente Osmeña Circle

The assembly of the MLhuillier Christmas Tree began at Fuente Osmeña Circle on November 6, 2024. The 120-foot tree, set to be a prominent holiday attraction, is being constructed by teams of workers and holiday decorators.

The tree, which has been a part of Cebu’s holiday celebrations for several years, is expected to be larger than in previous years. The MLhuillier Christmas Tree has become a notable feature of the city’s Christmas season, attracting both residents and visitors.

Erected annually by the MLhuillier Group of Companies, the tree at Fuente Osmeña Circle serves as a central holiday display in Cebu. Its location at the intersection of several districts makes it a visible landmark.

The construction of the tree involves a combination of engineering and design work. Workers began assembling the tree in early November, with efforts focused on preparing the structure and light displays. The tree will be decorated with lights, metal frames, and ornaments, and local artisans are contributing to the design.

The lighting ceremony for the tree is expected later in November, marking the official start of Cebu’s holiday season.

The MLhuillier Group also uses the tree as a centerpiece for charitable events, working with local organizations to distribute gifts and provide assistance to those in need during the holidays.
