Misamis Oriental province is aiming to further enhance public service delivery and governance after receiving the prestigious Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) award.

Provincial Administrator John Venice Ladaga said the award, conferred by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), recognizes the province’s effective and efficient governance under Governor Peter Unabia’s leadership.

The SGLG assesses LGUs based on various criteria, including financial management, disaster preparedness, social protection, business competitiveness, environmental management, and law enforcement.

In addition to Misamis Oriental, the provinces of Camiguin and Lanao del Norte also received the SGLG award. Several cities and municipalities in Misamis Oriental were also recognized for their exemplary performance.
