Minor killed, another injured in Pangasinan teenage brawl

BINMALEY, Pangasinan — A minor died and another was injured in a stabbing incident reportedly perpetrated by two other minors on December 27 in Barangay Santa Rosa here.

Initial police investigation disclosed that prior to the incident, the suspects were walking with a witness.

 Along the way, the first victim greeted his cousin (the witness), then a heated argument ensued and a fistfight erupted between the two groups.

At the height of the commotion, one of the suspects drew a kitchen knife and stabbed the first victim. As a result, the first victim, known only as Adrian, sustained stab wounds to his left chest and was brought to the Region 1 Medical Center Annex in Dagupan City.

However, he was pronounced dead on arrival by the attending physician, while the other victim was brought to Pangasinan Provincial Hospital.

The weapon used, a knife with a length of approximately nine inches, was turned over to the responding personnel by the witness.

The suspects were arrested by responding personnel and are now under the custody of the Binmaley Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.
