MIMAROPA declared free of political hotspots ahead of polls

By Matthew Go

The MIMAROPA region has been declared free of political hotspots ahead of the upcoming elections, the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) announced on November 3.

COMELEC’s assessment indicates that no areas in Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, or Palawan show significant risk of election-related violence. Despite ongoing monitoring, authorities express optimism for a peaceful electoral period.

Security forces remain on alert to ensure the safety of voters and candidates as the election season approaches, with officials hoping the announcement will encourage voter turnout.
