Mayor Raymond Alvin Garcia led the awarding ceremony for the 2025 Sinulog Grand Parade winners at the Cebu City Sports Center. The event celebrated the exceptional performances, artistry, and creativity displayed by participants in one of the country’s most prominent cultural and religious festivals.
The awarding ceremony recognized winners in categories such as Best Float Design, Best in Street Dancing, and Best in Costume. These awards highlighted the efforts of contingents and performers who contributed to the success of the Sinulog Grand Parade, which this year drew a record-breaking four million attendees.
Mayor Garcia commended the dedication of the participants, organizers, and city officials, emphasizing their roles in ensuring the smooth execution of the parade. He also acknowledged the contributions of volunteers and security personnel who worked to maintain order during the festivities.
The Sinulog Grand Parade, held annually in honor of the Santo Niño, has become a cornerstone of Cebuano culture, attracting both local and international visitors. Known for its vibrant floats, elaborate costumes, and dynamic street performances, the event continues to be a significant cultural and religious celebration for Cebu City and the Philippines.
