Marikina’s Teodoro signs ‘pro-youth’ ordinance

Marikina Mayor Marcy Teodoro announced at the concluding event of the City of Marikina’s 32nd National Children’s Month Celebration, held on November 30 at the Community Mall in Brgy. Concepcion Dos, his signing of Marioina City’s ‘Children Code.’

The event featured a gathering with snacks and gift packs for the children and their parents. However, the highlight of the day came when Mayor Marcy signed Ordinance No. 74, Series of 2024, also known as the “Ordinance Adopting the 2024 Children’s Code of Marikina City.”

This new ordinance is set to “further strengthen the city’s efforts in promoting and protecting the rights of children and youth in Marikina.”

The event was also graced by Councilor Marife Dayao, members of the Local Council for the Protection of Children, Child Representatives from Marikina’s 16 barangays, and other child advocates.
