Marikina LGU opens ‘Christmas Shoe Bazaar’

Mayor Marcy Teodoro, along with Congresswoman Maan Teodoro, officially opened the Marikina Christmas Shoe Bazaar at the Marikina City Freedom Park on November 15.

The bazaar showcases a variety of Marikina-made products, featuring footwear and leather goods from 47 local manufacturers.

In his remarks, Mayor Marcy emphasized the importance of preserving Marikina’s shoe industry, noting that it provides livelihoods for thousands of local families working in the city’s factories. He also celebrated how this industry allows the people of Marikina to demonstrate their craftsmanship, with products proudly recognized both locally and internationally.

The Marikina Christmas Shoe Bazaar will run until January 15, 2025, and is open from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Monday to Thursday, and from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Friday to Sunday, including holidays.
