On November 8, the Las Piñas Health and Wellness Caravan, organized by the City Health Office, brought essential healthcare services to the residents of Manuyo Uno at the Manuyo Uno Covered Court. Over 600 individuals benefited from the free medical services offered.
The caravan provided medical consultations, screenings for blood sugar and cholesterol levels, dental check-ups, ECGs, chest X-rays, and assessments for lifestyle-related diseases. Senior citizens also received pneumonia vaccinations, while free medications were distributed. Additional services included PhilHealth registration, the Green Card program, mobile birth registration, and a therapeutic massage station.
Vice Mayor April Aguilar was present to oversee the event, emphasizing the city’s commitment to improving public health. She was joined by City Councilor Mark Anthony Santos and District 1 council candidates Alelee Aguilar, Atty. Zardi Abellera, Mac Mac Santos, Robert Cristobal, Brian Bayog, and Marlon Rosales, all supporting the health initiative.
Dr. Juliana Gonzalez, head of the City Health Office, stressed the importance of early detection and preventive healthcare, noting how the caravan benefits the community by addressing various health needs.
