Manila LGU provides aid to cancer and dialysis patients

On December 17, 2024, the Manila local government unit (LGU) extended financial assistance to approximately 300 cancer patients and individuals undergoing dialysis during the “People’s Day” program at Bulwagang Villegas, Manila City Hall.

Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan personally distributed the aid, aiming to alleviate the financial burdens associated with their medical treatments.

The beneficiaries, recommended by their respective barangays, expressed gratitude for the support, which addresses the high costs of cancer and kidney disease treatments.

Mayor Lacuna-Pangan, a medical doctor, also took time to engage with the patients, offering words of encouragement and assurance of the city’s continued support.
