Mandaue City Police conduct bomb simulation exercise to enhance security

By Xander Ledesma

The Mandaue City Police Office (MCPO) conducted a bomb simulation exercise at the Mandaue City Heritage Plaza to improve the city’s emergency preparedness.

The exercise, which featured simulated explosions and crowd control measures, tested the coordination between local authorities, emergency responders, and government agencies in handling potential bombing incidents. Residents were informed in advance about the drill, which was conducted in a controlled environment.

Police officers, bomb squads, and medical teams participated in the exercise, which also evaluated the effectiveness of the city’s communication systems. This initiative is part of Mandaue City’s ongoing efforts to strengthen counterterrorism measures and improve public safety.
