Malabon’s CUPAO, various homeowners discuss Magna Carta for HOAs

The Community and Urban Poor Affairs Office (CUPAO), led by Mr. Marcell Unating, recently organized a gathering with 47 homeowners from various barangays at The Penthouse in Malabon City on November 21.

During the event, Ms. Ma. Leah Salvatiera, Ms. Victoria Ignacio, and Mr. Santiago Undecimo from the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) led a discussion on the Magna Carta for Homeowners and Homeowners’ Associations (Republic Act No. 9904). This law is designed to protect the rights of homeowners and associations, covering topics such as their benefits, responsibilities, access to housing programs, and steps to improve their overall quality of life.

The event organizers aimed to provide homeowners with a deeper understanding of their rights and benefits, including the right to safe and decent housing and participation in programs that aim to improve their living conditions.
