Malabon recognized at Urban Governance Exemplar Awards

The Malabon City government, led by Mayor Jeannie Sandoval, received several awards at the 2024 Urban Governance Exemplar Awards on October 28 at the Novotel Manila Araneta City in Cubao, Quezon City. Hosted by the Department of the Interior and Local Government – National Capital Region (DILG-NCR), the ceremony honored Malabon with a total of 10 awards for its “effective governance and community-focused programs.”

The city was recognized for excellence in public safety, service delivery, and community engagement, reflecting its commitment to addressing the needs of residents. Mayor Sandoval noted that these awards underscore the city’s “dedication to creating a safer and more progressive community.” The DILG’s annual awards program highlights local government units across Metro Manila that demonstrate outstanding leadership and service.
