Malabon LGU, DSWD-NCR provide financial aid to small biz owners

On December 16, a total of 471 small business owners in Malabon City each received ₱15,000 in financial assistance through the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) of thesu Department of Social Welfare and Development-National Capital Region (DSWD-NCR). The financial aid aims to “provide additional capital to help beneficiaries sustain and grow their businesses.”

The beneficiaries include small business owners, families in need of financial support, and individuals capable of managing their own enterprises. The program also prioritizes members of marginalized sectors who face limited opportunities for employment and entrepreneurship.

This initiative was made possible through the collaboration between Malabon City Mayor Jeannie Sandoval, the local government, and DSWD-NCR. The joint effort seeks to “empower Malabon residents by enhancing their economic opportunities and improving their livelihoods.”
