Malabon LGU conducts ‘Comprehensive Water Rescue Training’ for Volunteers

The first day of Comprehensive Water Rescue Training for volunteers on November 16 featured an informative session led by Mr. Narciso Valdez Jr., Mr. Erick Florderiza, and Mr. Raymond San Juan from the Malabon City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO). The session focused on essential water rescue skills, highlighting the importance of proper techniques to ensure the safety of both victims and rescuers.

The training included hands-on exercises where volunteers learned rescue techniques for floodwaters, how to use rescue equipment, and safety protocols. Participants also received instruction on CPR and other vital first aid procedures.

These training efforts aim to strengthen the community’s preparedness and ability to respond swiftly during emergencies, ultimately protecting lives and well-being.

The program was led by Mayor Jeannie Sandoval and MDRRMO Officer Roderick Tongol, in collaboration with the city’s flood volunteer teams.
