Malabon City leads anti-dengue clean-up drive

The Malabon City government launched a clean-up drive on November 8, focusing on areas with high dengue cases. The City Environmental and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) led the efforts in Sitio 6 in Barangay Catmon and parts of Barangays Hulong Duhat and Tinajeros. Volunteers and city personnel removed trash and cleared stagnant water to target mosquito breeding sites.

The campaign aims to reduce dengue incidence, particularly in vulnerable communities, in line with national health objectives. Dengue, a mosquito-borne viral infection, poses significant public health risks, especially during the rainy season.
