Makati LGU hosts seminar on Halal practices and certification

The Makati City government held a seminar on November 21 dubbed “Understanding Halal: A Guide to Halal Practices and Certification,” which aimed to educate the attendees about Halal principles and its certification process.

The event was formally opened by Vice Mayor Monique Lagdameo, together with Department Tourism Undersecretary for Halal Tourism and Muslim Concerns, Myra Paz Abubakar.

The seminar emphasized the importance of Halal practices in promoting inclusivity and enhancing cultural awareness within the community. Led by Bella Biscocho, the seminar was attended by Makati City Hall employees as well as representatives from various hotels across the city.
