Makati LGU distributes mosquito-repellent plants

In an effort to combat mosquito-borne diseases, the Makati Health Department (MHD) and Department of Environmental Services (DES) distributed mosquito-repellent plants to residents of Barangay Pinagkaisahan on November 12. Plants such as oregano, citronella, and lantana were chosen for their natural mosquito-repellent properties, and a total of 130 plants were provided to 52 households along Cuyo, Ensueño, Gabong, and Oton Streets.

Mayor Abby Binay-Campos encouraged all communities to maintain cleanliness in their surroundings to prevent mosquito breeding, aiming to curb the spread of dengue and other mosquito-borne diseases.
