Makati honors educators, staff at ‘Gawad Katapatan at Pasasalamat 2024’

On December 17, 2024, The Makati city government held its annual “Gawad Katapatan at Pasasalamat” ceremony at the Makati Coliseum, recognizing the “dedication” of its educators and staff. Mayor Abby Binay-Campos, alongside Vice Mayor Monique Lagdameo and Congressman Luis Campos, led the event, honoring 35 retirees, 187 loyalty awardees, and 10 “21st Century Makatizen teachers” from DepEd-Makati.

The awardees received various tokens of appreciation, including cash incentives, bronze pins, silver rings, and 14k gold medallions, acknowledging their years of service and commitment to education in Makati.

According to the Makati LGU, the ceremony aimed to “motivate and inspire educators to continue their exemplary contributions to the city’s academic landscape.”
