Lone 6/42 Lotto bettor wins ₱9M jackpot

A lucky bettor from Laguna has just won the ₱9 million jackpot in Thursday night’s 6/42 Lotto draw.

According to the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), the winning ticket, featuring the numbers 06-24-25-28-02-16, was purchased at Lucky Circle Corp. in Calamba City. The winner has a year to claim the ₱9,045,796.60 prize at the PCSO main office in Mandaluyong City. To do so, they must present the winning ticket along with two identification cards.

Under the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN) law, lotto winnings exceeding ₱10,000 are subject to a 20 percent tax.

In addition to the jackpot, 53 other bettors won ₱24,000 each for correctly guessing five of the six winning numbers. Meanwhile, 1,928 bettors will receive ₱800 each for four correct digits, and 24,440 will get ₱20 for three correct digits.

The 6/42 Lotto is drawn every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.

The PCSO encourages the public to continue supporting its gaming products, as the revenue generated helps fund health initiatives, medical services, and other charitable causes.
