As October draws to a close, the Legion of Mary is inviting the community to join its Rosary Month Culmination and Parade of Saints on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. on the parish grounds. The event, which brings together families and individuals of all ages, celebrates Catholic faith and traditions through a blend of devotion and education.
This annual gathering is both a spiritual and communal event, highlighting the closing of Rosary Month. It features the recitation of the Rosary, led by Legion of Mary members who promote Marian devotion within the parish. Participants can join in each mystery, offering prayers for peace, healing, and hope. Organizers anticipate a spirit of reflection and unity among attendees.
The event’s main feature, the Parade of Saints, follows the Rosary recitation. Children are invited to dress as saints of their choice, from St. Francis of Assisi to St. Therese of Lisieux, making the parade an engaging experience for families to learn about the saints’ lives and virtues. Maria Santos, a Legion member, shared her enthusiasm: “This isn’t just a parade—it’s an experience that brings our faith to life for our children. It’s beautiful to see them learning about these incredible saints and feeling connected to our faith.”
Father Antonio Reyes, the parish priest, views the event as a key opportunity to strengthen community bonds. “Events like this remind us of our shared devotion and bring us closer together as a parish family,” he noted.
The Legion of Mary encourages those interested to contact a representative or the parish office to ensure all participants are coordinated.
