The Philippine National Police (PNP) in Laguna has deployed 1,045 personnel across key locations in the province to ensure public safety during the holiday season, it was announced Monday.
The deployment is part of IMPLAN Ligtas Paskuhan 2024, a security plan aimed at preventing crimes through visible police presence in areas such as churches, transport hubs, and commercial centers.
Assisting the PNP are 425 personnel from government agencies, including the Philippine Coast Guard, Bureau of Fire Protection, and Armed Forces of the Philippines, along with 12,914 volunteers from local advocacy groups.
Patrols have been enhanced with 98 motorcycle units, 22 bicycle officers, and drone surveillance through the PNP’s Sky Patrol.
Laguna police reported no incidents under their eight focus crimes in the past two days. The provincial force also apprehended seven wanted individuals, including four of the region’s most wanted, as part of Project Paskulong.
“The PNP remains on full alert to safeguard our communities and visitors this holiday season,” said Col. Gauvin Mel Unos, Acting Provincial Director.
