Kibawe, Bukidnon declared insurgency-free

Kibawe, Bukidnon, has been officially declared free from insurgency following a formal declaration by the Municipal Peace and Order Council in coordination with the Philippine Army and the Philippine National Police. The declaration was made on November 26, 2024, during a ceremony attended by local government officials, indigenous leaders, and representatives from security agencies.

The event was held in “recognition of the municipality’s achievement in addressing insurgency-related concerns, marking it as a cleared area in accordance with established protocols.” The Philippine Army’s 10th Infantry Division confirmed that the municipality met the criteria for insurgency-free status, with no active presence or threats from the New People’s Army.

Municipal officials emphasized the importance of continued vigilance and cooperation among community members to maintain the area’s status.
