Kibawe, Bukidnon, has been officially declared free from insurgency following a formal declaration by the Municipal Peace and Order Council in coordination with the Philippine Army and the Philippine National Police. The declaration was made on November 26, 2024, during a ceremony attended by local government officials, indigenous leaders, and representatives from security agencies.

The event was held in “recognition of the municipality’s achievement in addressing insurgency-related concerns, marking it as a cleared area in accordance with established protocols.” The Philippine Army’s 10th Infantry Division confirmed that the municipality met the criteria for insurgency-free status, with no active presence or threats from the New People’s Army.
