The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed essential infrastructure projects in Oriental Mindoro, aimed at improving flood resilience and transportation. These projects, located in Naujan and Calapan City, are expected to support economic growth in the region.
In Naujan, a ₱19.79 million flood control structure along the Mag-Asawang Tubig River will protect communities and agricultural areas from flooding. Meanwhile, a ₱4.89 million concrete road in Calapan City now connects local towns, boosting business activity and access to services.
These infrastructure projects are part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the province’s resilience to natural disasters while fostering development.
