Internet influencer ‘Rosmar’ Tan files COC as councilor in Manila

Social media influencer and entrepreneur Rosmarie “Rosmar” Tan-Pamulaklakin has officially entered the political arena by filing her certificate of candidacy (COC) for councilor in Manila’s first district.

During an interview on Tuesday, she explained that she was persuaded to run, believing that being in a government position would allow her to help more people.
Rosmar Tan, a well-known content creator with a significant presence on TikTok (over 20.8 million followers), is also the CEO of the skincare brand Rosmar International. Her business journey began at 19 with her first venture, Mysterious Madre Cacao, which was inspired by a need to treat a skin condition in a bulldog she adopted. This business eventually evolved into a successful skincare line, earning her impressive daily profits.

In addition to her online influence and business accomplishments, Rosmar has diversified her investments into various industries, including owning a pet shop, restaurant, massage parlor, thrift store, and fish store, as well as real estate properties such as 10 resorts and 30 Torrens titles.

However, she faced controversy in June 2024 when she and two others were declared persona non grata in Palawan due to allegations of disrespectful behavior and legal violations.
