As the highly anticipated Dinagyang Festival approaches, Iloilo City is excited to welcome both locals and visitors. The city’s Tourism and Development Office (TDO) has officially established multiple Information and Assistance Centers to provide event updates, guides, and helpful information for festival-goers. These booths are strategically located throughout the city to assist both first-time and returning attendees in navigating the exciting activities of Dinagyang 2025.
The Information and Assistance Centers are set up at four key locations: SM City Iloilo, SM Delgado, FestiveWalk Mall, and Robinsons Iloilo. These booths will serve as essential points for tourists and residents alike to stay informed about events, schedule changes, and other important festival details.
Dinagyang is one of the most celebrated festivals in the Philippines, held annually in Iloilo City to honor Santo Niño (the Child Jesus) and showcase the region’s rich cultural heritage. Known for its vibrant street dancing, dazzling costumes, and colorful parades, Dinagyang attracts thousands of visitors each year, making it a cornerstone of Iloilo City’s tourism calendar.
The festival, which dates back to 1968, has evolved from a local religious celebration into a national event, gaining recognition as one of the Philippines’ major festivals. Over the years, Dinagyang has become a symbol of the Ilonggos’ profound devotion, unity, and pride in their culture. The city transforms during the festival, with streets filled with music, dance, and the rhythmic beating of drums, creating an unforgettable experience for all who attend.
For many, Dinagyang is not just about festivities; it is also an opportunity to experience the heart and soul of Iloilo. The establishment of Information and Assistance Centers this year highlights the city’s commitment to improving services to ensure every visitor enjoys a smooth and enriching experience.
The four newly-established Information and Assistance Centers are conveniently located in some of Iloilo’s busiest shopping malls, ensuring accessibility for both tourists and locals. These booths will offer event schedules, festival highlights, and practical tips for maximizing the Dinagyang experience.
Each booth is staffed with knowledgeable personnel ready to answer questions, offer directions, and provide real-time updates on Dinagyang activities. Whether visitors are seeking the best viewing spots for street dancing, information on food stalls, or details about the city’s cultural exhibitions, these booths are designed to be the go-to resource during the festival.
Dinagyang 2025 promises to be bigger and better, featuring a full lineup of exciting events and activities that will highlight the cultural vibrancy of Iloilo. The street dancing competitions, held throughout the city, are a central attraction where various tribes compete in a grand showcase of colorful costumes and energetic performances.
This year, Dinagyang is set to captivate audiences with its stunning displays of creativity and cultural pride, enhancing the experience for both participants and spectators alike.
