High-powered guns seized as crime gang member falls in Caloocan

MANILA – A member of the Alcantara gun-for-hire criminal gang, one of the top three most wanted by the Northern Police District (NPD), was arrested in Caloocan City on Saturday.

NPD Acting Director Col. Josefino Ligan said in a report Sunday that the suspect, alias “Tomboy,” was wanted for murder and linked to drug trafficking and gun-for-hire operations.

He was arrested at 4:57 p.m. Saturday in Marulas B, Barangay 36, Caloocan City, based on a warrant issued by Regional Trial Court Branch 129, with no bail recommended.

Five other individuals were apprehended for illegal possession of firearms. Confiscated weapons included a Bushmaster Rifle, two Glock pistols, a Taurus PT 1911 pistol and corresponding ammunition. (PNA)
